PACA's First Townhall Meeting A Huge Success

We want to thank all of our members who supported our first annual Townhall meeting in Bedford earlier this month. Over 70 attendees supported this inaugural event featuring discussions on ASR and concrete field testing, a legislative update by Hank Butler, a networking reception and dinner and a report on the results of PACA's Member Satisfaction survey.

Included on the agenda was a comprehensive training on antitrust issues - what you can and can't do - by Kate Cooper, Attorney at Babst Calland. This session was recorded and will be available to PACA members in the near future. Please watch for additional information.

Thank you to all who completed the Member Satisfaction Survey mentioned above. The results blew us away and we will be making them available to all very soon. Congratulations to our gift card drawing winners:

Don't Forget to Book Your Rooms and Register for Summer Summit

Just a reminder that registration is now open for PACA's Summer Summit.

Changes to this year's format:

1. The GOLF OUTING will be SUNDAY, not Monday.

2. The SPORTING CLAYS TOURNAMENT will be MONDAY, not Sunday.

3. Replacing the St. Michaels trip of 2022 will be a FISHING CHARTER EXCURSION which takes place at the same time as the sporting clays tournament. All fish caught will be packaged and stored by the hotel until you depart the summit.

4. Monday's education sessions will include a BRUNCH. No breakfast or lunch will be provided on Monday.

Two of our three speakers are speaking on topics of interest to ALL attending - PACA members and family attendees alike!

The third session will be by George Reddin of FMI on the economy in relation to the construction materials industry.

There is SO much happening at the Summer Summit. You don't want to miss this!

A few things to BEAR IN MIND!!!!

1. The room block expires on May 22nd, so BOOK TODAY!

2. Once the room block SELLS OUT or expires - whichever comes first - ROOMS AT THE HYATT ARE NOT AVAILABLE. We are the week before the 4th of July, a major vacation time. Rooms outside of our block are already filled by vacationers. You will need to look for alternative housing if you do not book within the block.

3. Because we are the week before July 4th - traffic will be much worse than last year. Please allow plenty of travel time.

4. And - because the resort will be filled with vacationers, restaurant reservations may be at a premium, SO BOOK EARLY!

PACA Spring Environmental Community Meeting

PACA's spring Environmental Community meeting is being held May 11, 2023 at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center, 215 Innovation Blvd, State College, PA 16803. We will be there at 8 for registration, with the actual meeting beginning at 9 a.m.

Eastern Pennsylvania & Mid-Atlantic ISEE Chapters To Host 2023 Blasters' Training

The Eastern Pennsylvania & Mid-Atlantic ISEE Chapters will host the 2023 Blasters' Training on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at the Blair County Convention Center, located at One Convention Center Drive, Altoona, PA.

Registration begins at 7:00am and the training will run from 8:00am - 5:00pm. If you register by June 7^th, the cost is $150 for Eastern PA Chapter ISEE members or $185 for non-members (registration includes 2023 Eastern PA Chapter Membership). Registration starting on June 8^th will cost $190 for Eastern PA Chapter ISEE members or $225 for non-members (registration includes 2023 Eastern PA Chapter Membership). Lunch and breaks are included in your registration fee.

This training has been approved by the Pennsylvania DEP to satisfy the 8-hour continuing education credits required for license renewal. Certificates will be emailed to attendees following the training.
