Last Call to Register for Next Week's Superintendent Workshop & Quarry Tour

Last call to register for the upcoming Superintendent Workshop, which includes industry tours as part of the day's agenda, next Thursday, September 19th in Nazareth, PA. REGISTER TODAY TO PARTICIPATE!

The day's agenda includes presentations on processing and crushing trends offered by Terex and a panel presentation on advancements in blasting including representatives from Austin Powder, Wampum Hardware and Orica.

The workshop will be held in the conference room of ASGCO "Complete Conveyor Solutions" and the company will be offering an truly interesting tour of their onsite facilities.

The final presentation of day will be very unique opportunity for our quarry superintendent audience. Quarries are run by hardworking professionals using similar processing equipment to deliver quality construction materials. The Superintendent Workshop agenda will feature a tour of Heidelberg Materials’ Nazareth quarry and cement plant which will expose our attendees to a different quarrying process. They are focused on the delivery of material for the kiln unlike the quarries processing aggregates or asphalt plants.

Embodied Carbon and Urban Resilience Forum Held in Allentown

On September 6th, PACA Staff member, Susan Armstrong, had the pleasure of attending an event hosted by Green Building United in the Lehigh Valley. The event was focused on Embodied Carbon: Alternatives to Construction Today with Member Steve Somerville, Heidelberg Materials, as a presenter. The presentation was on how concrete can lead to lower embodied carbon and the benefits of low carbon concrete. The event was both in-person and virtual with roughly 30 attendees.

PA Build My Future Event to be Held at Pennsylvania College of Technology

Join us for PA Build My Future on October 17, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Thanks to industry leaders like you, students from area high schools and career and technical education centers will get an opportunity to explore a variety of career opportunities in the construction and design industries.

Lunch will be provided for exhibitors in our LeJeune Chef Restaurant on campus.

Penn College of Technology is Looking for Your Support!!

The Concrete Science program at Penn College is growing!

After starting with 11 students in the first year, they are well over 40 students currently in the program, and they need our help.

If anyone has a surplus of air meters or other testing equipment, consider donating to our future industry leaders! They are currently in good shape for material donations, but keep them in mind in the future!
