In Memoriam

It is with sadness that we report the passing of Paul R. Rader, 80, of Harmony, on Friday, April 8, 2022, at UPMC Passavant Hospital.

Born in New Brighton on Aug. 5, 1941, Paul was the son of the late John Russell and Mary Elizabeth (Aiken) Rader. Paul is survived by his wife, the former Karen Downing whom he married on Oct. 22, 1960.

He was a member of St. Peter's Reformed Church. Along with his sons, Paul owned and operated JJ Kennedy, Inc. in Zelienople. Paul and his wife spent their winters in Melbourne Beach, Fla. He enjoyed collecting classic cars and tractors but mostly Paul enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife, Karen Rader, at home, Paul is survived by his three sons, Paul "Rusty" and Monica Rader Jr. of Ohio Township, John and Joann Rader of Jackson Township, and James and Beth Rader of Lancaster Township; seven grandchildren, Justin Rader, Jacqueline "Sis" Hill, Joshua Rader, Lucas Rader, Benjamin Rader, Nathan Rader and Morgan Rader, nine great-grandchildren, Landon Hill, Cody Hill, Mason Hill, Kaydence Rader, Laurie Rader, Arabella Rader, Kennedy Rader, Liam Rader and Layla Rader.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Laurie Lynne Rader; a great-granddaughter, Scarlett Rader; and a sister, Shirley Cahill.
RADER - Friends of Paul R. Rader, who died Friday, April 8, 2022, may call from 5 to7 p.m. Tuesday at the JOSEPH A. TOMON JR. FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport and from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Reformed Church, 320 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
A memorial service will be offered for Paul from the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Family suggests memorial contributions can be made in Paul's name to the Harmony Fire Dept. Building Fund, 543 Main St., Harmony, PA 16037.
