From Your Chairman

Article by Jamie Stilley, Amerikohl Aggregates, Inc.
PACA Chairman of the Board

Dear Members,

As we progress through 2025, PACA has started the year with a bang, to say the least! The Association is buzzing with activity, and we are excited to share the progress we’re making across key initiatives.

Advocacy and Legislative Engagement

PACA continues to serve as the unified voice for our industry, actively engaging with legislative bodies to promote policies that support our members. We have been monitoring and analyzing local, state, and federal regulations to advocate for balanced approaches that benefit our industry. Our efforts include:

  • Legislative Outreach: Engaging with policymakers to discuss the critical role our industry plays in Pennsylvania’s infrastructure and economy.
  • Regulatory Analysis: Providing comprehensive feedback on proposed regulations to ensure they are practical and beneficial for our members.
  • Grassroots Initiatives: Encouraging member participation in advocacy efforts, including hosting facility tours for legislators and contributing to our Political Action Committee (PAC).

Education and Training

PACA’s educational programs continue to be a cornerstone of our commitment to industry excellence.

  • Concrete 101 is moving along successfully, providing essential training on concrete mix designs to enhance industry expertise.
  • Aggregate Technical Collaboration with PennDOT is making steady progress, ensuring best practices and high-quality standards across the sector.
  • Certification Programs for ACI and NRMCA are in full swing, ensuring that our workforce remains highly trained and competitive.

Technology and Member Engagement

  • Website Enhancements: Our new website continues to evolve, with a greater focus on providing external audiences—customers, partners, and policymakers—an improved perspective on the vital role of our industry.
  • Young Leaders Town Halls & Community Meetings: These discussions are set and will provide an opportunity for emerging leaders to engage, share insights, and shape the future of our industry.

Upcoming Events

We encourage you to participate in our upcoming events, which are designed to educate, connect, and strengthen our industry.  I am looking forward to in-person dialogue with everyone at most of these meetings including Regional Technical West, NRMCA @ Golden Triangle, etc.

  • Concrete 101 (Mix Designs) (Feb. 26, Oil City)

While our appearance has changed, our commitment to delivering top-notch service remains unwavering. Please take a moment to explore our redesigned website and reach out to Tricia Lingenfield with any questions.

Registration Reminder
  • REGIONAL TECHNICAL COMMUNITY MEETINGS

These meetings have consistently fostered valuable discussions among PACA members and local PennDOT personnel who will be participating. To accommodate those unable to attend in person, we have introduced an online option. Upon registering for the online option, you will receive an email with the Teams link 24 hours before the meeting.  We all know that for these types of discussions, remote participation would not be anyone’s first choice.  However, we hope you can join us either in-person or online.
