Quality Control Technician - What Will You Do?

  • Communication is an essential element of this job, as interaction with PDOT, PTC, and various consultant inspectors, as well as company employees are all routine.
  • Complete all necessary documentation/record keeping with utmost accuracy required by PDOT, PTC, and NES&L Co., Inc.
  • Ensure components used in all products meet required specifications. Report results to Production management for quality improvement.
  • Monitor and inspect all aspects of production to include manufacturing, testing and placement of final product.
  • Coordinate any issues or specifications with supervisors or managers.
  • Record results of inspections and report findings of inspections if the required specifications are not met.
  • Collect, record, and process any material certifications required for products.
  • Attend meetings and training as required to maintain all applicable certifications required. All certifications must be kept current and new certifications obtained as needed.
  • Attend work on-time, as scheduled, and as needed.
  • Perform assigned work in accordance with applicable safety standards.

Requirements - Who Are We Looking For?

  • Two (2) years’ experience in quality control, materials testing, highway construction or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • State Certifications or the ability to obtain State Certifications.
  • High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree or Associate Degree a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of PennDOT and PTC specifications as well as construction and materials terms and technology.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to grow and learn.
  • Team Mindset - Working together to achieve a common goal.
  • Valid driver's license and meets NESL's minimum driving standards.

Construction Superintendent

JOB BRIEF

The Superintendent oversees the daily operations of assigned projects and crews and is responsible for the planning and oversight of the day-to-day work completed on assigned projects, and management of any issues which may arise. The Superintendent functions as the project site manager.

Construction Superintendent - What Will You Do?

  • Manages financial and budget aspects for assigned projects and tracks productivity of work. Closely tracks project costs and expenses and ensures project budgets are met.
  • Provides daily supervision to foremen and crews in the completion of assigned projects.
  • Understands the needs of the project(s) and ensures manpower and equipment are scheduled and available to meet target timelines. Schedules personnel, including subcontractors, and equipment for crew and project(s).
  • Possesses a strong understanding of safety policies and procedures and directs the overall safety culture within area(s) of responsibility. Enforces safety procedures and observes to ensure that safety policies and procedures are being implemented and met.
  • Reads and interprets construction plans and communicates plans to construction teams; develops project plans and schedules based on agreed upon construction plans.
  • Inspects construction operations on an ongoing basis, conducts final quality inspections with government/customer representatives; handles any potential site problems with crew.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with customers.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements - Who Are We Looking For?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Civil Engineering or related field, Associates in Construction Management, and/or related experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience depending on area of expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team.
  • Valid Driver’s License (CDL Preferred).
  • NECEPT and traffic control certification.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of estimating/scheduling software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organization, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong math skills.

Sr. Network Engineer - What Will You Do?

Operational Management / Strategy & Planning / Acquisition & Deployment

  • Interact with systems administrators and other IT operations and support staff for projects and timely troubleshooting of problems and incidents.
  • Manage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, wireless access points and UPSs.
  • Manage phone system including call processing, voicemail, and contact center scripting and related end user devices and software.
  • Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information
  • Perform server and firewall security audits.
  • Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Provide guidance to junior members of the team.
  • Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
  • Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephone equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances.
  • Manage servers including dhcp, dns and network monitoring servers and their associated operating systems and software.
  • Perform network design and capacity planning.
  • Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess near and long-term network capacity needs.
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
  • Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts
  • Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, hubs, switches, firewalls and other hardware.
  • Oversee new and existing network equipment and related software upgrades.

Requirements - Who Are We Looking For?

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or similar, and/or 5 plus years equivalent work experience.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNP or CCIE preferred.
  • Proven experience and success with LAN and WAN design and implementation.
  • Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
  • Strong, hands-on technical knowledge of network and computer operating systems, including Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Linux and IOS.
  • Excellent knowledge of telephone systems, including Cisco Call Manager and SIP.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards and excellent hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Extensive support experience with Cisco switches, firewalls, and routers with recent knowledge of IWAN (SDWAN) technology preferred.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Nexus and UCS platforms preferred.
  • Competence with testing tools and procedures for voice and data circuits.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

  • Work with HR and Payroll to create and maintain the set of IT projects in the strategic roadmap.
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis on roadmap projects to evaluate potential solutions and implementation methods.
  • Maintain third party relationships with External vendors/partners.
  • Coordinate with IT Project Manager, IT Team and Business Owners throughout the lifecycle of project to ensure business support for effort.
  • Keep abreast of the latest finance regulatory requirements as it pertains to our ERP applications.
  • Coordinate testing and implementation for all projects.

Requirements - Who Are We Looking For?

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience required.
  • JD Edwards Enterprise One – Human Capital Management (HCM) (minimum 2 years’ experience) or similar systems.
  • Ability to take complex business issues/challenges and formulate them into business requirements and functional systems requirements. Inherent in this function is the ability to understand the relationship between business processes and a complex set of systems that supports the processes.
  • Strong organizational and communications skills, an eye for quality, and ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals (executives, business users/clients, system users and IT staff).
  • Ability to effectively document processes and procedures.
  • Ability to develop reporting and displays for key metrics as defined by the business.
  • Previous experience as a functional leader for complex system implementations preferred.
