The Pennsylvania Aggregates and Concrete Association (PACA) is the industry’s unified voice, representing more than 200 member companies across the state.

This program provides free continuing education to the design and specifying communities. There are currently four courses available, ranging from 30-60 minutes focused on the cement, aggregates and concrete industries. You'll receive a certificate of completion once you pass a quiz. The bookmarking feature allows you to leave the course and resume where you left off when you return.
HARRISBURG, Pa. (Dec. 16, 2025) — The Pennsylvania Aggregates and Concrete Association (PACA) has opened registration for the 2026 spring dates of the ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade 1 exams. The first testing date is set for Jan. 20, 2026, in Gettysburg, Pa. The exam offers participants the opportunity to earn certification and enhance their skills in the concrete industry.
"We're excited to open our registration for the ACI Concrete Field Testing exams this spring," said Ken Crank, PACA’s director of certification & sustainability. "These exams provide valuable certification for professionals in the concrete industry and prepare them for success in their daily work."
The ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade 1 certification evaluates a technician’s ability to properly perform and record the results of essential ASTM standard tests on freshly mixed concrete. The written and performance exams ensure technicians can demonstrate accurate sampling, testing, and quality-control procedures in the field.
Participants who are looking to earn their certification can register online at www.pacaweb.org. Early registration is encouraged, as space for the Jan. 20, 2026, exam in Gettysburg, Pa., is limited. Additional testing dates include Feb. 17 in Bethlehem; March 3 in State College; April 1 in Leesport; April 8 in Wilkes-Barre; April 13 in Williamsport; and April 21 in Harrisburg.
